The Here I am Map, plus some extras on the trip

The Journey

-17 °C

So with this map you can see where I am now. Of course the first thing you might notice is that the dates are all nearly wrong, so lets just call this a work in progress ok?! I have been to many other places during this time, so it's not turning out to be a straight point2point, 2 years in Nigeria for example.

Suffice to say it has kicked off again...

Yes, I have decided to start again. Somehow the idea of disappearing off for two years in Nigeria when I really only got as far as Barcelona/Portugal/Morocco before was getting to me. In reality it will only take 2 days out of my trip.

I always note that with traveling (well me anyway), you don't always end up doing what you set out to do...

(IMPORTANT) MY MAP DATES ARE NOT EXACT. For many reasons.

1. A 2 year working gap in 2005 messed up the dates a bit (but i will continue with unbroken steps)

2. I am crap at keeping exact dates

The Laminated Map
Here is a copy of a map I made to show people my overland route, I printed it and laminated. It was one of the best things I had with me. Locals loved to see the map, and to see where I had been and where we were now. If I now find lots of people with laminated maps I shall ask for creative copyright commission! It also shows how crap my geography is...
